The attorney for Asher Danon of Elad said, Sunday, that his client admitted stabbing Rabbi Elazar Abuhatzeira on July 28, 2011 but said he did not intend to kill him. During a hearing in the Be’er Sheva District Court, the lawyer said that Dahan’s intention was only to injure the rabbi in oder to show that the rabbi had no divine powers.

Perhaps I’m wrong, but I seem to recall that he stabbed the tzadik several times.
