Iran Announces Arrests of 15 Israeli Spies

(Tuesday, April 17th, 2012)

Iran’s state run IRNA news agency announced the arrest of 15 people suspected of being Israeli spies. The suspects are reported to be Iranian and foreign nationals who were plotting assassinations.

According to a Haaretz report, the suspects planned to assassinate an “expert” but it does not mention in just what field the target’s expertise is. In short, the report is extremely vague and it has not merited a response from Foreign Ministry officials in Jerusalem.
