(Monday, May 7th, 2012)

Cops wounded a man, holding his mom at knife-point, this afternoon during an Upper East Side domestic dispute, law enforcement sources said.

Police got a call for help to 408 E. 65th St., and encountered a knife-wielding man holding his mother in their sixth-floor apartment at 1:55 p.m., authorities said.

Officers ordered the man to put the knife down before a sergeat hit him with a Taser, sources said. He still didn’t drop the knife, so two officers fired four shots.
The woman was also injured in the gunfire.

He was struck in the leg and taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital. He’s expected to survive his wound.

Somebody ought to teach the NY Post about punctuation. The first comma makes it sound like the cops were holding the mother at knife-point.
