Despite objections of bereaved families and others, Israel today, Thursday, handed over 79 bodies of terrorists to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). Israel calls the move another “good-will gesture” which Jerusalem hopes will increase the popularity of Abu Mazen, who Israel views as “a moderate and viable peace partner”.
Abu Mazen will be capitalizing on the good-will, and he is holding an afternoon of ceremonies and events at his Mukata office in Ramallah.
In an even more bizarre move, Israel on Thursday afternoon is giving the remains of 12 terrorists to Hamas in Gaza.
One elected official commenting on the move was opposition leader MK (Labor) Shelly Yacimovich, who stated the move was a good one since it builds trust and improves relations.
