A train derailed on Wednesday morning near Kiryat Gat. About 4 people were transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, most with light injuries. One victim was reported in moderate condition with a head injury. Another 10 or so passengers were treated for hysteria.
Israel Railways officials have ordered an investigation as has Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz. It appears four cars derailed for reasons that are yet unknown.
