State Attorney Slams Israeli Media For Bias

(Sunday, July 18th, 2010)

State Attorney Moshe Lador criticized the Israeli media on Sunday, saying that he doubts his office receives fair news coverage.

“Sometimes, there’s a problem with the [State] Attorney’s Office, but it’s just a problem, nothing more, and the media intensify their coverage,” Lador said at a conference at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan.

Lador said the State Attorney’s Office is not perfect, but the media does not give a balanced view. He added that writing about investigations before they are complete makes it difficult for the authorities to find the truth. Lador said he thinks that the media try not only to influence their audience, but also the police and judges.
