After drinking many bottles of wine on purim, it hit me (not the bottle) why Moshiach is not here.
It says by the Avos, Hashem didn't give them children right away because he wanted them to daven for it. Is it possible that Moshiach is not here because we don't specifically ask for him?
Yes, we all want him but by daveing don't we ask for health, money, shidduch, etc....
What are your thoughts? should we all daven really hard, at least until pesach for the quick coming of Moshiach??

A harmless dummy hung in the spirit of Purim in Chicago somehow turned into a rescue effort yesterday after police and paramedics arrived at the scene thinking that a dummy was a real person.
Some bochurim at Telshe Yeshiva in Chicago, in honor of Chodesh Adar, created a Mishenichnas Adar sign and hung it on the front of their dormitory building. The bochurim, in their creativity, made it look like a person - a dummy - hanging up the sign had lost his balance and was hanging on for dear life on the high window sill while the fallen ladder sat below.

Police officers and paramedics were contacted by someone who was not aware that the “guy” was nothing more than a dummy. After arriving at the scene, police and paramedics cut the ropes holding up the “fellow” and finally reached him, only to discover that he was nothing more than a dummy. The police and paramedics broke out in laughter, quickly figuring out that the sign and dummy were nothing more than a creative Purim endeavor by the boys. In fact, the paramedics, smiling from ear to ear, took the “person” on a stretcher and headed back to their station to show their “find” to their friends.

The bochurim later contacted them and asked if they could get their dummy back. (One of the bochurim needed to return the shaitel from the dummy’s head to his mother!)

Wishing everyone a joyful month of Adar.

Do you think people should get drunk on Purim or not? Do you think underage bochurim should get drunk on Purim? Do you think its ok to drink at night also as opposed to only by the seuda?

I think people should get drunk but only if they act like a yid and not a goy when they are drunk. I also think its ok for underage bochurim to drink as long they act like a yid is supposed to act. Also, i think its ok for people to drink at night because the whole Purim your supposed to be Misamaech so why not, as long as you know your going to wake up for Megilla.

This morning I witnessed a woman getting struck from behind and knocked down by an SUV.
She was walking in the street with her back to traffic.
The SUV driver was talking on his cell phone while driving.
Fortunately, the SUV was moving slowly enough that she didn’t seem to be injured – just eager to be up and on her way.

People will sometimes walk in the street, where cars drive, because of unshoveled and impassable sidewalks. This is most common on one-way streets in the Flatbush and Boro Park neighborhoods.
If you must walk in the street, please –
-	be aware of your surroundings.
-	walk toward oncoming traffic so you can see what’s coming.

Additional observation – the SUV driver was only moving about 5 – 10 mph. I saw what was going to happen and yelled “Look out!” (he drove right by me), but he didn’t hear me. The woman didn’t dart out in front of him – she was clearly visible, walking in a straight line on a clear day. Yet, he totally didn’t see her until he struck her because of the cell phone distraction.

Do you think its ok for bochurim to go around collecting in limos? People say its the only way the organizations get these guys to go collecting but why should my tzedaka money go to a limo when they could easily rent a normal car for much less money and then more tzedaka money goes to the tzedaka and not the limo company.
