We will then understand how EVERY anguish, pain, discomfort was to our benefit. All our low points, our lousy moods, sour / miserable days – everything was to our good. That in itself should be enough to cheer us up – knowing that there will come a time that we will understand this whole mess. This, then is the meaning of נחמו נחמו עמי – the double Nechama. One as a regular comfort as one relieves a person in grief. The other is to truly understand how it was to our fortune – turning the bad &amp; unpleasantness INTO good and beneficial.
