We confirmed it's sterling all over, but they can't weigh the silver due to the presence of a stainless steel weight in the base/stem which they can not remove unless they melt it.<br /> The shop apparently specializes in jewellery, so it would not expect to sell the leichter. As it is so beautiful and in excellent condition, they offered to buy it to disply in their store. The store/refiner will take off 25% or so (much more than gold).
