HIE
Some people feel the same way about smaller schools for the reasons you mention.

Glad you found a better fit for yourself. Some people just continue the status quo in order not to deal with change.

As a camper i went to a certain camp which considered a "brand name" camp with a lot of campers. I was in this camp for 6 years. Part of the reason i went there was because my whole family went there so i just went there because that was the flow. After being a staff member for a year i realized that I don't belong there. It was totally not my type of place. So i went to an "offbrand" camp as a staff member. This is a small camp which is much cheaper and gives the same activities and trips. I realized that in many ways small camps are alot better. There isn't a ton of staff and there isn't like different groups. Everybody is together. All the staff know each other very well. And it is for THIS reason that i think small camps are much better aside for the fact that the camp that i just changed to is awesome anyway
