It is even more impressive than Hank Greenberg and Sandy Koufax refusing to play baseball on Yom Kippur because Fisher refused to perform at least once every week. This is no more the case than with Jewish plumbers, accountants, or grocers. </p> <p>Of course most of them are not c"v as depraved as secular singers, performers, and entertainers. And like plumbers, accountants, and grocers the Jewish entertainers serve a purpose. Hashem should bless all of them with health and parnasa. But let us keep things in perspective. </p>
