He mentioned something about google Yiddish to English translate in another thread (a book for a yid). I don’t think he’s actually using it, but he’s definitely having fun… Just hope he’s not ZK.

From another post by this person I saw that he is using Yiddish Translate from Google, so I don’t think English is something he can write on his own.

I think he’s asking for something like Cliff Notes on the book The Gordian Knot by Yair Weinstock.

I don’t believe such a thing exists, but if you, by chance, happen to read Hebrew and just can’t manage the English version, the book is titled

    ??? ?????

    ??? ?. ????

To the oilam here, I, b”h have found a program that is letting me turn Yiddish into English so I sound better. What I was asking was if anybody has a “spark notes” (I believe that such is called a spark note) on this book. Please answer speedy.

    Hello aHeiligeYid,

I checked on spark notes’ and Cliffs Notes’ websites and could not find a summary at either site for that book. I hope you will be able to come across something helpful somewhere though!

M2, I honestly don’t know what you need to say that for and I don’t think it’s appropriate, not only on this thread, but in the CR overall. Is it any of your business?

Yes! I very much is upset over how a Yid can say such a thing! I think that you should be ashamed that you speak only a language that was created by Goyim! And to Aurora77, thank you, but I is asking if you oranybody else have any personal spark or cliff notes on this book.

    Thank you, A Bp yid

There is a summary at the Amazon website (the summary is free, they will gladly sell you the book). It might be harder to find the Hebrew original in the USA.

Cliff notes or Spark notes only exist for “classics” that have been adopted as required reading in a large number of schools, not new popular literature. If the book is widely read in a generation of so, you’ll find published summaries. The only secondary sources for current popular novels are book reviews.

If you combine the title, the author’s names (he uses a pseudonym), and the words “book review” you’ll find reviews about the book.

If you check the Library of Congress catalogs (catalog.loc.gov), and look under “authorities” you’ll find records for most of his works and “name authority” records explaining his use of various pseduonyms for this English, Hebrew and Yiddish works.

You know, aHeiligeYid, I should have asked that the subtitle read “loves cats and dogs” … I am as over the moon about the dogs as I am the cats, and I look forward to the day that I can live somewhere where I may have both 🙂 I hope that akuperma’s lead helps you find what you’re looking for!
