i only know meohr so thats all i can help you with. the girls this year are an amazing group. rabbi greenwald tried really hard to filter the group and he did a great job from what i hear. good luck!

there are around 130 girls this yr when usually there are around 100......what type of girls go to meohr?in towny??out of towny???and how many girls are there around?thanks!!!!!

in meohr there are 35 different schools from all over- towny and in towny. there are around 100 this year im almost positive

nachlas is still good frum girls even though mrs. jacobawitz left...the actual school may be a little different though, staff wise. my sister is in meohr right now..any questions???

i also wanna know how yeshivish meohr is, i know that its not considered yeshivish but like is it the type that theyll kill u if ya have an i pod w/ nonjewish music? r they strict with rules like that?

Well, one thing that I do know about Meohr (from a girl who is there this year) is that R' Greenwald made it very clear that no iPods will be tolerated. (with or without Jewish music.) That's what I was told anyway.

I find it really interesting that you are thinking about nachlas and meor. They are two totally different seminaries. While nachlas has more yeshivish, frum, solid girls Meor has the total opposite.

I'm applying to Pninim and Meor, and was wondering if I should apply to Seminar as well.

I went to BYA and I can tell you it is the best place! The girls are very mixed, usually with half the girls very Yeshivish, and the other half less so, but definitely Beis Yaacov. It is a bit more in towny, though there are always girls from all over, and the staff is amazing! they are all really interested in each girl and are very approachable, from the madrichot through the principal. They are strict in a sense, but you don't feel it once you are there.

Heey Meohr2012 !!!!! im rly interested in ur seminary!!1 ppl are saying the past few yrs the type of girls they got are much more modern ...like sort of Rebelious?? noo?? idk this is what i hear ...im not yeshivish at all ...but at the same time i have my head on straight. i hear this yr they have good grls again is this true ?? and could u tell me more abt it ??

meohr is pretty academic as tehy have a lot of work but the hashkafa comes first and they work with you to make it on whatever level you are on. meohr this year is not at all rebellious- pretty much the same type of girls as bnos chava. very good girls. ye, in the past it may not have been that great but this year they got a uniform and rabbi greenwald accepted very good girls.
