part three has apparently started already. you tell me, I think its absolutely ridiculous... :)
question: where do the pictures on the YWN home page come from? like if the story is something relating to water, theres a picture of a sink, is that the editors kitchen sink?
I repeat: do the new mods like kapusta? (the food, not the person)

someone just published my dvar torah. It is shabbos in the US, which mod is on?
Vacation or do you live on my side of the atlantic?

I did - you are correct that it is still Shabbos in the US, but Shabbos is out where I currently am.
Have a Gut Voch, JayMatt19PS. Out of curiosity - why just the Atlantic? It could be the Pacific... :)

There are two things the moderators do:
1) Review all posts to filter out those that either require editing or will not be posted at all due to (sometimes only potentially) problematic content. This is necessary, but increases the time between when a post is submitted by a poster, and when it actually appears.
2) Participate in various threads (reading and replying)."YW Moderator-72" actually paid you quite a compliment.
He is saying that for your divrei Torah posts, he is so sure that they are OK that he skips "step 1)" above so that they can be seen and enjoyed immediately.
It is the equivalent of being waved by security, because the guard knows you are trustworthy.
As far as "2) Participate in various threads (reading and replying)" - he has told you that he (and many others read and enjoy your divrei Torah.Posted 6 years ago # -
Sorry, but I still find it insulting that I make such an effort to post divrei torah, on the thread that 72 started and tries so hard to ensure that every night has a dvar torah, only to find out he does (or did) not read it.
I hear your logic, I hope you can hear mine.

Your contributions to the dvar Torah thread and "YW Moderator-72"s efforts to keep a “fresh” vort posted daily make it what it is, and are appreciated.
Let me ask you one question: If you post a dvar Torah that will take an average reader five minutes to read and digest and one of the moderators sees that you’ve posted but is running off for Mariv and can’t read it thru right now - should he hit the “approve” button, thereby making it available immediately for others, or would it be better to wait until after mariv (and seder, and shopping, and a schmooze, etc)? The approving moderator will read your vort either way, but this way others can enjoy it more quickly.Keep up the good work.

mod, anyone can answer-any mod for that matter. And I specifically meant SHY, no mention of SHAI. Like, are they shy (they sure seemed to be the first day they came) and therefore not commenting? you are making an assumption that I am not one of the new or other mods? thanks to whomever it was that fixed this.

you did not answer even 1 question. actually, I answered all the questions, you may have not liked the answers, but they were answered
do u think ur nice? all moderators are nice. in the preface to the moderators handbook third revision it states all moderators have to be nice to the users even when the users ask inane questions and kvetch incessantly. the kvetch incessantly was added in the third revision to be published either later today or tomorrow.
pls let us know our mods better

wat is the mod peckin order? who is on the top after the editor? we want numbers! 1) classified, 2) classfied 3) mazel tov, you want numbers 4) lose the excess "!" mods don't like them

have the mods all met one another face 2 face? yes and no. we met, but we had to wear disuises and use voice transformation devices to keep our identities and absolute secret

which are the worst threads to mod and why? there are no worst threads - we either delete the topic or close the thread if it would lead to a classification of worst. this is just another example of the quality control that we have in place to serve the users
which do you find the most interesting? (and why?) each mod has their own favorite threads.

kapusta: hang man is the easiest to mod! as if, you would know... update the board mod... we can't play b/c it isn't updated mod... and then you have the 5 minute hosts that updste in their own and people are guessing used letters.
