    WOLF, PLEASE STOP!
Why are you always sending yourself to Hell? Please stop being so negative about almost every thread that pops up in here. Please, start looking at the bright side of everything and stop putting yourself down for whatever it was that you did "bad".

    im feeling the wolf.

while i proudly subscribe to our great torah community, we find many many among us that do not want to believe in a torah god but rather in make-believe fairy tales and magical unicorns. when you approach these folks with reason, logic and intellect, they lash back like a frightened raccoon cornered in a garage. they spit epithets at you and fall into a repetitive mantra of "apikoyres, apikoyres."

some fight back. the wolf is rocking the passive aggression.

When interacting with people outside the internet do you also throw this junk into conversation or in the real world where people know you, you actually care what people think of you?

Some pretend to be believers in the Torah but when their personal understanding of "logic" doesn't agree with a Torah concept they make a miserable attempt to redefine the Torah concepts into Western values.

Wolf - I would like to post a Dvar Torah here which I feel you might agree is relevant to the attitude we’re discussing here. Correct me if I’m wrong!
This is from the Ohr Someyach, Hilchos Talmud Torah.
The Torah addresses itself, with every mitzvah, to every single Jew, and everyone is , theoretically, (unless they’re in circumstances out of their control) able to keep them all. (am not discussing those that are aimed at a segment of Jews, like kohanim, men/women, etc).
Sounds simple, huh ? Let’s see:
The Torah makes many demands of us. We feel that we are all equally obligated, and must try to do as much as we can, and if we don’t manage then, b’dieved, we won’t be held accountable - “onais”.
This is inherently not so. An example: The passuk says we have to learn Torah day and night. Hmn, that would certainly leave most of us without having fulfilled our obligations. Hopefully we’re onais. Nope - the Gemara says you fulfill your obligation by reciting krias shema twice daily. Obvious contradiction ? Says R’ Meir Simchah, the minimum for every mitzvah is something any reasonable person will realize they are able to do. After that, you are obligated to do more - but only according to your capability, temperament, background, etc. In this case, he says, it would make a difference if you are a person who naturally enjoys Talmudic discussions!
The difference may be subtle, but it can have an enormous effect on your attitude towards your obligations - If we realize that our personal difficulties with our obligations will not only be taken into account at Judgement Day, but that Hashem originally, in the Torah, only asked of me what He feels I can do today, we would act differently.
Why is this relevant ? Because if someone says “I know I am doing wrong, but will continue” (or “I have done something wrong, but don’t truly regret it”), I think that means he sees Torah as a cold, external set of demands. If Hashem truly understands me, and only asks me in the first place for that which I can do NOW, and is truly happy and pleased with me for it, then even if I’m not ready to change - I can always take a step in the right direction! etc. etc.
This is also a thought which allows you to have regret, but not guilt - After all, today that I must do Teshuvah, this is what He wants from me now - what He wanted yesterday is irrelevant!

I'm working here with the premise that your being honest, not just bashing yourself as a way of making a point (though you're certainly doing that as well!)

Eh. I don't see what's aggressive about it. It is like a guy who keeps hitting his head with a hammer to discourage others from using the hammer as a weapon against him. Pure passive apathy. But I gotta admit that you can't beat the tactic when you're dealing with certain types.

While every second post here from Wolf is about what a big rasha and apikorus he is, he never ever makes such a post on his own site.

I think the point of the thread was support but he somehow got it turned around. Mighty talented fellow! I too would rather more posts of his and less negativity, 'specially since it aint true. But that's just me . . . and what would I know? I already put a down payment on the condo next to him in Gihenom.

Moderators, could you please close this thresd. I don't see this thread going anywhere positive. It apparently made a negative effect instead of helping Wolf out a bit.
Wolf, if you are still reading this thread I honestly wanted you to know that no one is allowed to put you down except yourself. Only G-d can judge you and no one else in your life or on this site has that privlidge. If you honestly feel bad about yourself then just turn to Hashem and ask Him to forgive you. And yes, it does sound as easy as its said. (Been there, done that) You might feel shameful but only Hashem will be able to take that guilt away from you. All the best and please, no more of sending yourself to Hell. Otherwise, you are going to hear from me again. Thank you.

att the wolf: many of the things you do are VERY similar to things in my house. in that case, i guess i'm going to hell as well.

to all those who say the wolf needs help, lay off him. i think his style of posting is short, curt and to the point.all the Wolf is saying is that he is not perfect and has things he believes he needs to improve upon. halivai we should all have the attitude that we are human and have imperfect areas that can be worked on

Considering many posters have commented about Wolf's tendency to post an epilogue to almost every comment he makes indicating that he is a rasha and apikorus who is gehenim bound; and by nearly unanimous consent of the posters discussing this issue it has been the general consensus that it is extremely annoying and disturbing to the many threads and conversations that these constantly repeated theme is being spewed to, perhaps the moderators can consider no longer approving comments that constantly make this self-depreciating point.

Are you unable to differentiate between unanimous and "nearly unanimous" or do you simply have a reading comprehension difficulty?

Nearly unanimous is a meaningless phrase.

It certainly isnt. Its used properly in language. An example would be a Congressional vote of 434 -1 would be described in the press as a "nearly unanimous" vote in the House of Representatives.

I don't think the wolf really believes that he is bad and going to gehenom for his actions. If you look at what he's writing, the examples are usually a bit off target, exaggerations, and things that many people do. In addition, most of the time, it's obviously not an aveira - just his way of putting things down. I guess he finds it humorous/cute. I don't and apparently there are others who agree with me; however, let him post in his own style to his heart's content... what does it bother anyone? I read what he writes, roll my eyes, and move on with life...

You know what, forget it. I dont want to know what it meant even though it hurt my feelings but because im not sure of what exactly more meant im going to ignore it since he/she isn't responding.

dancinggirl- I was just trying to tell The Wolf to stop "sending himself to hell" because I have seen it in numerous threads. If you haven't noticed then im going to keep my mouth shut and leave The Wolf alone.

Moderators- Now how about my previous request? Do you mind to please close this thread?

i love coffe - Don't feel bad, he wasn't talking to you. He took the words of your post, quoting you asking Wolf why he sends himself TO gihenom, and, in poor taste, plays on your words to ask Wolf why he ascends FROM gihenom. It wasn't worth explaining but you shouldn't have to feel bad. You meant well and I hope Wolf knows that.
