cold turkey self control worked best for me the many times i stopped smoking.
after a couple of days the brain remaps itself to stop impulsively doing things.
September 18, 2014 1:04 pm at 1:04 pm #1032661Patur Aval AssurParticipantUse poisonous nail polish.
September 18, 2014 1:50 pm at 1:50 pm #1032662☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantDrinking a bottle of poison would do the trick as well.

September 18, 2014 4:56 pm at 4:56 pm #1032664Bookworm120ParticipantDip your nails in lemon juice, or some other edible but awful-tasting substance.
Or, if you’re female, apply nail polish. I, for one, wouldn’t want to ingest that stuff.
September 18, 2014 4:56 pm at 4:56 pm #1032665thethinkingjewParticipantsmoking – read alan carrs book. By the time you finish the book you will have stopped smoking.
I have never smoked but i know people who have found this book incredibly successful.
biting nails – use that special nail polish kind of thing apparently also v. affective..

September 18, 2014 5:33 pm at 5:33 pm #1032667👑RebYidd23ParticipantThe nail polish is kind of like you’re threatening yourself.
September 18, 2014 8:14 pm at 8:14 pm #1032668Bookworm120Participant@RebYidd – Well, somebody’s got to do it. 😛
September 18, 2014 8:18 pm at 8:18 pm #1032669👑RebYidd23ParticipantThreats are not good. The are destructive and unnecessary.
September 19, 2014 5:17 pm at 5:17 pm #1032670Bookworm120ParticipantYes, but so is nail-biting.
September 19, 2014 7:24 pm at 7:24 pm #1032671👑RebYidd23Participant2 wrong ? 1 right
September 19, 2014 9:34 pm at 9:34 pm #1032673Bookworm120ParticipantGood point…. I guess, before I can come up with a counterargument, I should ask how and why you consider nail polish threatening.
Mind you, I enjoy having these conversations. Please don’t take it the wrong way! 🙂
