As you can tell by my username, I am a year round resident of Sullivan County. I welcome the influx of visitors every summer, and rarely complain or have issues. This summer, however, I must comment.

In Jeffersonville, the Stone Arch Bridge Park this past week was visited by the girls from Camp Bnos of Borough Park. It seemed as if they were having a great time, The park was crowded, the girls were playing and having a good time.

My issue is the mess left behind. Garbage was left all over the place, including on the rocks and in the water itself. There are receptacles all over the park to dispose of the garbage, which is collected weekly or as needed. The park is normally spotless, it was not when the girls left.

The park exists for all to enjoy, and I hope everyone continues to do so. Please clean up, and have respect for all that wish to utilize it.

I do not know how to contact the camp directly, and this forum seemed the most reasonable place to “vent”.

Please, all continue to enjoy the remainder of your summer upstate, and good shabbos to all.

What’s “Camp Bnos of Borough Park”?

Perhaps it’s a euphemism for “chassidish girls camp from somewhere”.

More likely the name Camp Bnos was splashed all over and when he asked someone where they’re from she responded BP…

Actually APY it seems there’s only one that’s known simply as Camp Bnos. And here it is in all its glory http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/girls-camps-1

pardon my ignorance as to the camp..It is located on the old valley view resort site, Swiss Hill Rd North, in Kenoza Lake.
