    Sparkly Please see my responses elsewhere. Call the city director or regional director and find out what you need. The CR obviously won’t have an answer to your local question.

    The NCSY Advisor night next week is for anyone interested in becoming an advisor. All of the regional directors will be there and you’ll get a chance to meet them, and they’ll get a chance to meet you. You’ll get info on different roles advisors can play in different places, etc. Sounds like it is perfect for you!

    Sparkly – I’m confused by your question… It’s an INFORMATIONAL EVENING for people who are interested in becoming advisors… it’s not for existing advisors… Though there will probably be people there who have been advisors in the past, if you are INTERESTED IN BECOMING an advisor in any capacity, or on any level, that evening is the best way for you to get a foot in the door…

    Would someone with influence at NCSY tell them their name-change from “National Council of Synagogue Youth” to NCSY is, to oversimplify, stupid. NCSY is not a word and has no meaning, unless you know that it used to be an abbreviation.

    Sparkly, I worked for them for 5 years in a senior management position. I posted detailed advice here and in another thread. Repeatedly.

    Have you done what I suggested? If not, what exactly are you complaining about? What am I missing?

    yichusdik – im going to a sort of seminary now and its during ncsy so i CANT work for them right now until i finish with my seminary. the reason why i say like a seminary is because the classes are located in the seminary but theres no tests.
