Do you know anyone born with a silver spoon in their mouth? Were you born with a silver spoon in your mouth?

b”h I was born with no foreign objects in my mouth.

as I got older teeth found their way up through the gums.

I think that is the way it is supposed to happen.

    silver spoons are for eating

Rich people used to feed babies with a silver spoon because it stopped them from getting sick. Silver is an anti-bacterial.

I have to wonder what the point of this thread is, should wealthy people be ashamed of their wealth? I don’t think they should be overly proud because it all comes from HKBH and being wealthy comes with many tests but why should they be ashamed?

Actually, I’ve always thought the phrase should be ” were you RAISED ” with a silver spoon in your mouth “.

We’ve all seen wealthy children well grounded by their parents in midos, education and responsibility for their actions. We’ve unfortunately seen other children raised as selfish, entitled brats.

Rabbi Yaakov Dov of Rodoshitz used to bless people with wealth.

He would reason, “As long as people are poor, they think that money would solve all their problems.

once they have money, they at least stand a chance of realizing that what there lacking in life is really spirituality and then they’ll strive for it”
