Chanukah Gelt is always appreciated!!
If you are concerned about a "goyish" problem tell the person how it's Chanukah and you are so proud of the good job in school or another positive thing they are doing that you are giving a present. As long as you don't have a red pompom hat on, you'll be fine!!!

what makes presents ''goyish''?

festive red and green wrapping papers, with pictures of sleighs pulled by eight tiny reindeer?

artchill is right. If you deliver the gifts in a sleigh, pulled by eight tiny reindeer, it's goyish.
I always thought Chanukah shopping was easy: a bit of gelt for the kids. something nice for the wife. that's about it.
