Standard Boggle rules apply except as noted.

    Maximum time – 24:59.

Post the time to announce that you are starting.

Search for words and type them. [It is recommended that you use

a second window or another program to type your words.]

Edit the words and the time you stopped into your post.

(Click “EDIT” underneath your post, in case you don’t know.)

To find your score, divide the point value of the words you

found by the amount of time you played for. Post the results.

(You might be well advised to stop should you see that you’re

not finding words as quickly anymore… Ah, design flaws.)

Should you choose to, you can also score with the normal method

once the round is over, however that may be determined.

Please note the method you used to score, as this method

favors those who spend more time on the game.

You may find it useful to make the letters larger.

To zoom in or out, press Ctrl and +/- together

(at least in Internet Explorer and Firefox).

    Board size calculation:

    Original 4×4:

    4 Cr = 8

    8 sd = 24

    4 mi = 16

    =48

    180 sec /48 = 3.75

    (24.5 min * 3.75) = 1470

    12 x 12 = 1980

    11 x 11 = 1650

    10 x 10 = 1350

I’m not sure on the rules about plural/s. Do you score as if it is a second word? Or just the score of one? Or just singular?

with the Boggle game my family has…)

If anyone else wants to provide a new round,

just roll your Boggle set nine times, typing in the results,

but leave off the last vertical line of each third one

and the bottom line of the last three.

    (It probably won’t happen, eh?)

counted plurals, verb forms, etc. as individual words.

a more detailed version of the calculation:

    Original 4×4:

    4 corners = 8 connections

    8 sides = 24

    4 middle = 16

    =48

    180 sec /48 = 3.75 secs per connection

    24.5 * 60 = 1470

    1470 / 3.75 = 392

    11×11=121

    4 crn = 8

    36 sd = 108

    81 ml = 324

    =440

    * 3.75 = 1650

    10×10=100

    4 crn = 8

    32 sd = 96

    64 ml = 256

    =360

    * 3.75 = 1350

The abundance of 3 letter words – especially in a board more than 4×4, is too many to bother with. Thats why in my family, even in a 4X4 board, we play “no 3 letter words” (for the older members anyway).
