Below is the story ywn displayed recently. It seems they ask gedolim only on certain issues. Otherwise its simply not newsworthy. Or is there some other way to interpret it? I want to know.
Should we be more involved in how chareidi representatives carry out their duties? EG: Like many laws which make this a free market and allow us to grow and prosper. A free market can give more money to our poor simply by allowing a higher percentage to leave poverty with better standards and much less regulation for business and more jobs available. Those who still need charity will find it a lot easier to collect if all friends around him are now rich! Because I question how many economic policies of degel/shas were approved first by a gadol.

Degel Hatorah MKs Confer With Gedolei Yisrael On Jerusalem Bill

Moshe Gafne announced he is going to confer with Gedolei Yisrael Shlita to determine what to do regarding the Jerusalem Bill sponsored by the Bayit Yehudi party. The bill is at the heart of a machlokes between Gafne and Health Minister Yaakov Litzman. This is expected to take place on Thursday night 19 Tammuz. Gafne will be going with MK Uri Maklev to confer with HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita.

The decision of Rav Shteinman will determine whether Degel Hatorah will support the bill promoted by Education Minister Naftali Bennet, which demands that any decision regarding Jerusalem be subject to the consent of a majority of 80 MKs.

Following Gafne’s opposition to the bill, it was not raised last week by the ministerial committee as scheduled, and it was postponed to this coming Sunday.

And did not also the Agudah faction confer with their gedolim?
All the frum parties should get their act together and support one another.
Also, those who flirt with the Left should be told that the voters will just not come out on election day if they think that their dati party will put in their support with the back-stabbing Left, or other parties that have shown a contempt for tradition, and Eretz Yisrael.
