For kids: Boomers (mini golf, go-karts, bumper boats, etc.), near the Boca FAU campus/airport.

For the whole family: Butterfly World (just south of Boca off the Turnpike).

Gumbo Limbo Nature Preserve – includes a hospital and nursery for wounded turtles, and a butterfly garden. A nice learning center and lots of florida wilderness and wildlife, but not too wild.

The Gelato Shoppe on Glades Rd.

They have a few CY flavors and a whole pareve selection. Its REALLY good. The lady their told us that men always like the fruity flavors and women always like the rich flavors like chocolate (which happened to be true for us as well)

    I think there’s a children’s science museum somewhere too.

An iceskating rink in Pompano beach.

Go to “The Girls” on Military Trail in Delray Beach. It’s an urban farm where there used to be a parking lot. They grow strawberries hydroponically, which they can pick and eat, and grow a variety of other vegetables and have farm animals, etc.

No admission charge, but you pay to pick strawberries, by the pound. They’re good!

There’s a nice commercial farmers’ market, The Boys, a few doors further up Military Trail. They have excellent fruit and veggies.

Rent a boat, sail over to Cuba, and charge a few hundred dollars for rides.

popa, you’d only have passengers for the way back.
