26, go back to the moderators guide. no where does it say that mods need to be responsible. In the most recent version released prior to your mod final exam, it is written in the "credo of the mods" and the "affirmation to mod" passage that you read aloud to all that would listen (and not fall asleep): I, (insert number here) hereby attest to the following:
1) I have read the manual and will uphold the regulations as printed in them.
(i will skip a few to not give out everything)
...416) I will answer questions posed from users that technically answer, but does not provide too much useful information.
417) new users asking silly questions will be given the run around to accustom them to life in the CR.

AhavasYisroel- I don't want you to think the CR an insensitive place. Please understand that you can never be sure about anything- about any of the members here (or any anonymous site).
Keeping the shmoozing low key is always a good idea, and I respect your view on this matter.
You have to know yourself though. If you are not comfortable, please do as you see fit.
