    ya kapusta, that was for you!

    open up the layers palette if it's not already opened(open it in Window- Layers. in that pallete on the bottom there are buttons- one of which feature a trash can.
    Simply just click and hold down (drag) the layer you want to the trash can!

    p.s. you can't delete a layer if that's the only one there
