they actually do have room- I'm pretty sure-

Really I had no idea! That's cuz e/o is flocking sternberg and agudah which aren't even that good, its just that they are cheaper

/really maybe she applied for first half, that's always full. Try second. If you want to get into any other known camp try applying around sukkos time! If you try laterthan that you will most probobly not get in. My friend got into sternberg 2 weeks ago, maybe try there, ussually its full around now.

i went to sternberg for two yrs and x rlly like it... someone told me about a camp bais yaakov of the rockies... did anyone evr hear of it? nerdy? still has space??

i suggest try maarava, worst come to worst u wont get in, but it is a great camp :)

A.little? A ton they wont let you wear any Waring's that aren't studs and they have to be small apppropriate studs, what exactly do you call that? Modern?

Lol listen every girl is meant fir a different camp, some camps are for you and others aren't. I suggest wait till next year to go to a camp you know you'll love, its better than wasting money on a camp this head that toy may hate! Good luck and I hope you make the right desition!

i go to camp raninu and i love it, but my best friend goes to camp malka, she loves it there too and made such good friends there.

Check out the staff at camp malka before you send there. I know someone who went and liked it while she was there and then found out some info...do research on them just to make sure its safe especially since its relatively new

BLABLA: I don't know what you heard about the staff in malka- i have never been to malka, nor do i know of anyone that does. but i have been to other popular camps and have many acquaintances from various places and I just want to say that it's not fair to put down an entire camp because of one or even 15 stories that you heard because i guarantee that it's not different than any other camp... both as a camper and staff member, i have become aware of issues within the staff- and i repeat- it's gonna happen anywhere and everywhere. it's a scary world out there and you just become more aware when living in such close proximity with others... i'm sure that camp malka has a wonderful staff!

It is an awesome camp! nobody said its not! Nobody said that all the staff is bad! I'm just reminding people to be careful and do their research.

I know a little of what goes on behind scenes at Camp Malka and can attest to the fact that they are very careful with who they hire there. Their research is better then a bunch of other camps.
Like hodulashem said, stories can happen in every camp, as careful as they try to be.I do agree with blabla that people should be careful and do their research. Especially is this day and age. Just I don’t think its fair to say this about Camp Malka in particular. A general statement to be careful and research the camp you go to would have better.

Edited: Sorry Blabla, what you are doing is spreading unsubstantiated rumors! If you have any kind of real proof, talk to the authorities or the heads of the camp. If you just heard something that has no foundation in fact, you might cause many people tremendous harm. BTW, my own daughter is going to the camp involved, so I am nogeia b'davar and I still don't think you blindly accuse anyone of something unless you have facts. MODERATOR

I agree with the moderator. A lot of people read what’s written here, and by spreading these rumors, you may have caused a lot of damage. I wouldn’t want it on my head blabla, that I may have caused another hardworking yid a loss of parnosa.
I know other girls, both as staff and as campers who went to the camp, and had a fantastic time, and keep going back. In fact I know of people who were only accepted for one half due to lack of space, and their doing everything possible to try to get in for the next half. ex using pull and ect...
I'm not sure what your refering to, blabla bec I never heard anything like that. Even if there is some truth to your rumor (although I never heard anything like it) maybe one summer as careful as the camp was, they mistakenly hired a few staff that weren’t so good. That happens in EVERY SINGLE camp. I can GUARANTEE that. Knowing the camp, I'm sure that as soon as they found out, that staff were fired. And in case the camp somehow didnt become aware of it, why don’t you go and tell them about it, instead of spreading rumors here and making the camp sound bad?

bla bla said NOTHING that was spreading rumors about anyplace. She said to be careful. She didn't tell you of who or why. And if she did have specific information and was watering it down to a simple warning, than you are all fools to bash her comments instead of looking into that camp and any others. Your responses are exactly what I got when I tried reporting an abusive staff member at the school. Ostriches!
