How often do you find human hair in your food? Is it usually food from restaurants, take out, grocery or food prepared at home? How do you react?

What other unnatural or unedible particles do you commonly find in your food?

    Gross!

Once I bought a 16oz. transparent bag of raw cashews from this discount grocery store. The cashews were packaged overseas.

I come home and look at the sealed bag, only to see a thick 1.5-inch straight black hair staring at me.

I lost my appetite and returned the cashews.

    That hair still haunts me!

It’s not so much fun when it’s a family members hair (or mine!), but if it was my mom’s hair or something, I’d get grossed out, toss out the portion attached to the food, and then move on to another serving.

I’m really lucky that my family still ate my food, even when sometimes a hair would end up in a cookie or something.

I always made sure to put my hair in a ponytail, but having my hair up wasn’t always a 100% certainty of hair-free baked goods. Thankfully, hair in food happened rarely.

When I was a kid, I found a leaf in my 100% fruit juice grape juice juice box.

I saved it for a few days in the gsrage, hoping to sue the manufacturer. I think I may have called the 1-800 number. I don’t know. I eventually threw it out, giving up on becoming a millionaire by lawsuit.

Baruch Hashem, as far as I know, my food is mostly food. I don’t want to know more.

I eat pretty much only whole foods, processed yogurt, processed water, and bagged salads.

Once in a while, I’ll find larger insects in certain packaged salad, or organic celery stalks —but that’s normal, right?
