If you place a backtick (the character that looks like an apostrophe, located below the tilde ~ on your keyboard) followed by a period before your art, and another backtick after your art, it will preserve your formatting.

Honor-system hangman.

To avoid paricipants being available when I'm not and vice-versa, this hangman game will be played using the honor system.
Hover over a letter in the alpahbetic list above and the position(s) which that letter occupies on the board will appear on the bottom of your browser where your link gets listed when you hover over a real URL. If that letter isn't in the secret word a "sorry!" will appear.
You can then update the game as it progresses. It's not necessary to recreate the entire board, as that can be a pain if you haven't done it before.

To attempt at putting the overly-wonkish instructions into English:
Put your mouse over the blue "Z" in the alphabet list above.

This means "Sorry, but Z isn't one of the letters. Now, give yourself a hand (or whatever limb is appropriate)".

While the current game has been dormant in an unsolved status for over a year, we need not worry since ICOT had the great foresight to build in the answer into the post. So even if ICOT's memory would no longer serve to recall the word after this long a pause, we are not out of luck.
