     what did you do, open a dictionary and pick out a word?
     -A dictionary was used to confirm the spelling, but not in choosing the word. This word was picked because: 1) It has lots of letters, including common and less common, making it fun to guess. 2) It's long, decreasing the odds of a hanging-man result. 3) It's a somewhat uncommon word, which requires additional thought. 4) It's an "upbeat" word - see its adverb usage.
