Yes i know all the complications, but they also say that as long as the gallstones don’t give attacks then there is no need to remove. Im just saying why don’t doctors explain all the after effects instead of just saying that you will be “perfectly fine” wihout it because it’s not true.

Actually they do. I don’t have to answer for a few that broke the law. They make you sign a paper before surgery that you have been explained everything and agree to the surgery anyway. If you haven’t been explained everything -then it’s not a real legal consent. Almost all Docs I know follow the law. They might not repeat themselves -they might have explained everything already during the initial visit. Are you the pt. that wasn’t told the possible complications?

Does that include you? Or you’re the exception?!?“ask a doctor you trust, as well as a rov, and do what they advise”
Btw, I never said not to do that!
And if you read the whole posts before commenting, you’d see that some of the discussion was about the pt. didn’t have time to shop around!June 4, 2017 8:07 am at 8:07 am #1289043lowerourtuition11210ParticipantHere is one of my issues with the CR: Why are you bumping a thread, from 2013, and answering in the present as if the question was asked now?
It was actually bumped by a different post, which got deleted
