i don’t know where to apply to seminary. i have one option, Meohr but i still need one or two more. I’m a Bais Yaakov girl, but i don’t want a seminary that is so yeshivish, but then again not too modern. i want there to be academics and the hashkafa should not be fluffy. a lot of people have been telling me bnos avigail can someone tell me about it? what kinds of girls go there?

help i don’t know where to apply and its so late in the year already!!! stress!

For B’nos Avigail, check the website. I don’t know whether or not websites are an accurate way of telling about seminaries, but at least it lets you know what the school’s goals are and something about the type of teachers. The best way is to speak to girls who are or were there.

From the website, it sounds like it fits what you are looking for.

Machon Raaya, Darchei Binah and Ateres might all be good options for you. Possibly Binas but I don’t know enough about it.

I’m a bit confused about what you are looking for. From your description of what you are looking for, I wouldn’t think that Meohr is the best fit for you. I would think that all the other schools I mentioned fit your description better (probably B’nos Avigail also).

Bnos Avigail is very out of town, very normal and hashkafa based.

It also sounds like it’s very intellectual and the hashkafa sounds like intellectually based hashkafa. That is probably why people were recommending it.

Please, please, please, will the mods combine all the sem threads into one? Do we really need threads floating around for each individual maidel that can’t make up her mind about where to spend Tatty’s hard earned money?
