When you hold someone else’s baby and the baby pulls on your hair, beard or eyeglasses for security, what do you do? If it’s your own baby, the baby can feel safe without pulling hair, but a friend’s baby might really think you might drop him if he doesn’t hold on to your hair.
September 13, 2017 10:23 pm at 10:23 pm #1363276iacisrmmaParticipantI let them pull my hair.
September 14, 2017 2:10 am at 2:10 am #1363322Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantIt depends how hard they are pulling and if it actually hurts.
September 14, 2017 9:22 am at 9:22 am #1363356JosephParticipantLilmod, at what point do you stop the baby from pulling your beard?
September 14, 2017 9:23 am at 9:23 am #1363357akupermaParticipantOnly a non-parent would ask such a question (or at least someone who hasn’t held a baby for many years).
Babies are holding on to you for fear of falling. They are investigating the newest thing to come their way.

His or her hands reach for a large chunk of hair or beard, and then they just keep holding on. When babies explore, they keep pulling at different strands of hair and glasses, and they lick it.

September 14, 2017 3:19 pm at 3:19 pm #1363844👑RebYidd23ParticipantI answered your question but my answer got deleted.
September 14, 2017 6:46 pm at 6:46 pm #1364054Little FroggieParticipantMods… care to <Undelete> just for me?!?
September 17, 2017 10:45 am at 10:45 am #1365129WolfishMusingsParticipantIf a baby pulls on my beard, I let him. And if he pulls so hard that it’s too much, then I give him back to his parent.
