RebYidd23 has no time to look up recipes.

Easiest recipe: go to your local supermarket and buy the ready made.

But anyway, I’m hoping someone here has actually made halva and can give me a regular people recipe as opposed to a chef one.

Omgosh!!! How did I miss this thread? 🙈🙌

Once I ground flaxseeds in a coffee grinder, and mixed them with some sort of syrupy sweetness and then maybe out it in the fridge.

I called it: Poor Man’s Halvah

    Here’s a better Poor Man’s Halvah Recipe:

    1 cup Sesame seeds
    Enough maple syrup
Some sort of meringue froth maybe

Grind sesame seeds in coffee grinder until you get powder. The oils may make it sticky.

Mix sesame seed paste with maple syrup until it is sweet.

Maybe mix with some meringue, or not.

Place in pre-cooking-spray-sprayed glass dish, and squish glob down with the rear of a spoon, compressing the mixture.

    Refrigerate.

If you want to step it up a notch, you can cube the refrigerated Poor Man’s Halvah into small chunks, and mix them into ice cream.

I prefer vanilla ice cream as the base for this Halvah-inspired yummy yumm, but RebYidd23 does not.

    Thank you and enjoy 🙂
