In addition, the mispar katan of קניידלאך is חי which is always a good thing.

Another method of mispar katan gives us 9 which shows us how our kniedlach are meramez on אמת.

In את"בש we get דטממקכת"ל which is equal to לתרי"ג because the eating of kneidlach is given only to klal Yisrael who were given the taryag mitzvos.

The milui is equal to 1051- if you add kollel ha'osiyos of the miluy and the letters of the word itself you get 1082. This is the exact gematriah of the words in Yeshaya 26:17 "תחיל תזעק בחבלי-ה" speaking about how Klal Yisrael will begin to cry out like a woman in childbirth from the chevlei moshiach durring the ikvisa d'mishicha.

Clearly then one can be yotze the chevlei moshiach by eating matza balls.

We have round matzo balls to remind us that we are in availus for the chorbon so we have a reminder every week while we are enjoying our shabbos seuda.

no blinky becasue the eggs are crushed up not whole. if they were whole yes, it would be for that reason if you have the right kavanos

Are you a lot to have that kavanah on Shabbos since it part of Aveilos and we don't sit on Shabbos?

Its just a reminder-i wasn't suggesting that you have the shabbos meal sitting on the floor. Also, we talk about rebuilding the Bais Hamikdash on shabbos in bentching and Shemona Esrei so we need to lead up to that.

I had my Shabbos meal on the floor once. We had just moved into the apartment and we didn't have a table and chairs yet.

Anyway most of us daven Shemoneh Esrei before we eat, so it would be the davening leading up to the kneidlach.

Which I can understand being as kniedlach might be a mitzvos asei midoraisa of oneg and kavod Shabbos while davening is a mitzvah d'rabonnon as a zecher for the korbannos.

Hey, I just made kneidels this week and they came out very fluffy. I don't know if it was the seltzer, baking powder, or just putting in less matzah meal but they were nice and soft. Thanks everybody for your help.

  9. did u have the right kavanna when you were eating them??? cuz if you didn't, there was absolutely no point in fluffy kneidlach (i almost called them yarmulkes, don't ask why...after - effects of the fast maybe)!
