@janedoe I would make one but I don’t think the mods would let it through as for the rest of you u shud be ashamed of yourselvesAugust 6, 2015 3:47 am at 3:47 am #1162898
Why should I be ashamed of myself? I like who I am.August 6, 2015 3:54 am at 3:54 am #1162899

Shulem Aleichem ! Haven’t heard from u in a whileAugust 6, 2015 4:48 am at 4:48 am #1162901
Mods would u permit me to post a email made special to send in peoples names ?
noAugust 6, 2015 4:59 am at 4:59 am #1162902
Perhaps a mod can put the names through with the mod’s screen name listed as the poster instead of the actual requester’s. Would partially protect the privacy of the submitter. So for example if DY (btw that was only slightly funny…) wants to send his name in and it’s Moshe Ben Surah we will all know that Moshe Ben Surah is a poster here (no idea as to the frequency etc.) but not that his name here is DY.
If someone has a really unique name / doesn’t trust the moderators’ discretion either / simply doesn’t want his name posted in this format he might want to abstain.August 6, 2015 5:26 am at 5:26 am #1162903
Good ideaAugust 6, 2015 7:58 pm at 7:58 pm #1162905

Mammele: I’ve actually thought for a long time that an anonymous username, controlled by the mods, would be a good feature so that (with the mods’ approval) people can post things that they wouldn’t want specifically associated with their username.August 7, 2015 5:59 am at 5:59 am #1162907
WS: I think you’re right on. Very often I don’t write stuff simply because it may be possible to identify me through my posts, especially in the context of other things I’ve posted.August 7, 2015 10:40 am at 10:40 am #1162908
we have discussed Alter Shimon Yechezkel ben Rochel Chanah in the coffee room, how about a kvittel for a yeshuah for himAugust 7, 2015 3:40 pm at 3:40 pm #1162909
Write exactly what u would like to be put and I’ll try to put itAugust 7, 2016 2:18 am at 2:18 am #1162910
Gonna try this again… Pls read top postAugust 7, 2016 4:45 am at 4:45 am #1162911
Joseph, the letters we use today are Babylonian. No one knows why thtswitch was made from the ancient alphabet.August 7, 2016 5:12 am at 5:12 am #1162912
cant otherwise would.August 7, 2016 5:35 am at 5:35 am #1162913
I believe I’ve mentioned this is the past, but if the mods would create an anonymous thread, more posters would be willing to put their name+mother’s name out there for tefillos, kvitlach etc.
So basically the mod’s should delete who the poster is (perhaps replace all posters with anonymous) and just list the info. from within the post. So we’d never know for example if a name is from a one time poster, or the real Joseph.
Just a suggestion.August 7, 2016 6:31 am at 6:31 am #1162914

Or people can just register an additional account for that thread.
Or people can post their names, and the mods can block those posts
and copy the names into a new post. – ????????-??? ?? ????????August 7, 2016 6:39 am at 6:39 am #1162915
Mammele, we cannot change how a username appears for an individual post. Any change would affect every post made under that account.
If someone wanted to make a new account for the sole purpose of maintaining anonymity, we would allow that.August 7, 2016 4:31 pm at 4:31 pm #1162917
Thanks anyway. I wish you could, though…August 7, 2016 6:44 pm at 6:44 pm #1162918

For this coming year u can just have everyone in mind he’s a tzaddik and he has ruach hakoidesh …. so he’ll know who has written on hereSeptember 11, 2017 10:59 pm at 10:59 pm #1361461
Does anyone doubt that if you daven with real kavanah and seek a yeshuah in the name of the the Satmar Rebbe, Z’TL, the Ebeshter would respond with a least as much rachmanis as would be the case if some third party left an email message by the tzionSeptember 12, 2017 10:24 am at 10:24 am #1361673
Besides….if the internet itself is assur, kal vachomer, wouldn’t any supplication for a yeshuah at the tzion communicated and/or facilitated by internet messages and email. not be looked upon favorably??
