Recently, someone in the Coffee Room claimed that I hate all Democrats. I replied that there are many Democrats that have inspired me and many that still do. Among them is, former New York Governor and Democratic Presidential candidate, Al Smith.

Yesterday, I decided on yet another Democrat that greatly inspired me. Although much of the Democrat machine despises him and the “mainstream” media has a field day with the man - I get much inspiration from him. Alvin Greene, that is, a person with ambition and someone that doesn’t give up. I admire him for his persistence and determination. Although I don’t think he’s capable of representing constituents (as many in Congress aren’t), I believe that his message and life-story is compelling. He is truly one that can tell you what poverty means and what a poor man needs. I don’t support many of his actions (…) but I don’t support many of the same actions many other Congressmen (or elected officials) – Republican and Democrat did. I also like his non-partisan stance.

Would I vote for him? No, but I take an inspirational message.

Incorrigible; semi-retarded; eccentric; perhaps a man; somewhere between mean and average; sometimes only a bit over the top; arbitrarily cynical.

I like Democrat Zell Miller, speaker at the 2004 Republican convention.

The title of this thread is an oxymoron. Please change it to reflect this objective truth.
