1.5 cups oat flour (approx)
1 mashed banana
1 egg
1 cup of raw coleslaw (or shredded white/green cabbage)
1 tbs vanilla extract
Olive oil spray or olive oil
Mix wet ingredients together then add oat flour until pastey.
Spray olive oil spray all over a microwavable plate. Or spread about 1tsp all over plate.
Microwave for approx 3 min. Then flip over and microwave for 1-2 extra minutes.
Is it a kugel? Maybe a pancake? Maybe a latke?
It is so yummy 🙂
Pour mixture onto plate and spread .
February 3, 2017 3:27 pm at 3:27 pm #1214060MenoParticipantIt’s not a kugel.
Also I think your directions are out of order. How do you flip a plate of olive oil?
February 3, 2017 9:45 pm at 9:45 pm #1214061LightbriteParticipantOoops good catch Meno! Thanks…
Pour mixture onto oiled plate.
Then microwave. Flip kugel-like deliciousness over and microwave again.
Why is it not a kugel? If it’s cooked in a 9 x 12 glass rectangle, then it will be a kugel? Or must a kugel be round?

Shabbat Shalom!

Hence, anything made in a microwave can’t be a kugel.

Did they have electric ovens also? or toaster ovens?
So if I bake this then it’s a kugel by your definition?
February 5, 2017 1:06 am at 1:06 am #1214065MenoParticipantIf I bake an omelette is it no longer an omelette?
February 5, 2017 1:32 am at 1:32 am #1214066LightbriteParticipantFine ~ It’s a Mugel.
Mugel = Modern Kugel (Microwaved Kugel)
