hi i applyed to both of those schools and got in (B"H). now i have to figure out which school to go to and im stuck in the middle. i come from a more MO school but im one of the more "right wing" students in my grade. i really like to learn, i like hashgafa like classes as well and some textuall( more hashgafic). im not the smartest person in my class but im like the high end of "middle". i dont watch TV or listen to english music. i want a school where i can learn a lot and grow and make a kesher with teachers. i know a lot more people going to michlala then to darchei binah. what type of girls go to darchei binha. ive been getting a big mix. some say its more :right" then michlala and some say its more "left". ive also heard that it really depends on the kids going to darchei binah that determines the year. does anyone know any girls planning on going next year and what school they go to now? are the majority people who go to darchei binah morelike the "left" girls from a bais yaccov, or they are just good solid girls who want to learn and grow a lot. also i know financially that darchi binah is eaier for my parent but they would be willing to pay for michlalah, if id go there though they arent so sure id be able to go on the poland trip which is some thing i really really want to do, should i let that decide my year? im really confused about where to go next year and i only have about a week to decide so any input would really really help. thanks!

My daughter went to Michlalah. My friend's daughter went to D"B. I would pick D"B if I had it to do over again. If you want to
contact me off-list to hear my reasoning, the MODS have my permission to give you my e-mail address.Posted 3 months ago # -

What was the interview like? ( in detail please) for darchei binah.

I went to Michlalah more than 20 yrs ago so I can't respond intelligently. I will tell you that you should ask a trusted teacher or Rov rather than an anonymous group in the coffee room.
One thing I can tell you from my own experience is that your Israel experience is what you make of it. If you are going to E"Y wanting to grow, you will probably do that in either of these two schools.
Hatzlacha to you, and don't forget to daven for clarity in this matter. I definitely feel that Hashem guided me to the right seminary for my growth at that time.
All the best

oomis1105 - how do i contact the MODs to give me your email because i really do want to hear what you have to say on the matter. thanks
and as for the interview, i dont remember too much of it clearly, i was asked to read a passuk from sefer berashis and a rashi on that passuk and translate it. Rabbi Kurland, the interveiwer, picked the passuk and rashi for me. he also asked why i want to go to darchei binah and really thats all i remember, sorry if it doesn't help much. also if anyone know any girl who is 100% going to DArchi Binah next year and what school they go to. thanks
