B"H I have completed Bava Kama.
Please put me down for Bava Basra, bli neder.
There have been dozens of new posters (and even non-registrants) who joined solely for the purpose of learning mishnayos - yasher koachachem for the chizuk.

Has any thought been given to the logistics of siyum(im)?
Can completed mesechtos be tracked and indicated as "complete"?
May I propose mdlevine (the originator of of this thread) as a misayim?

Sometimes A Bit Over The Right

We can make a Google Docs shared spreadsheet that we update as people sign-up and as people finish they can so indicate.

Joseph, I have an MS-Excel spreadsheet with all the tracking information - I copied the list on page one into a .txt doc and then opened in Excel did some formatting and it is ready to go.

How does this google docs work? are there controls to prevent people from deleting or changing existing data?

MDLevine - yes there are. Set it so that only admins can change things whereas others just have viewing rights. I'm off to a shiur but I can help out in a couple of hours when I get back.

Itzik_S - I saw that option. The suggestion by Joseph was to allow others to update the schedule. my concern is that someone could accidently delete the data or overwrite all existing data. If there is a way to track all changes, I can fix any errors, however, if I do not know about changes, then I nothing can be done to keep the integrity of the file excluding your suggestion
    thanks,

Let me look later. I tried GoogleDocs only once but I kind of remember a tracking feature.

There is also something called DropBox that lets you save the Excel spreadsheet but then everyone in the group would have to install it.

YWN MODERATOR: I think you forgot to put me on for Bikurim. Also, I see three names for some masechtos. Are we trying to finish it twice?

Sorry. The goal was once and the response was so fantastic that we are going for twice.

Round 1 is complete and round 2 has 31 mesechtas accounted for. Talk to friends and family and come back and sign them up!

Is Round 3 open before 2 is complete?

    Posted 3 years ago #

  21. Jospeh - a Decision was made after round 1 to continue to add people and increase the learning without regard to rounds.

by the way, which mesechta(s) are you signing up for???

Everyone can sign-up, update, and check their assigned Mishna on the spreadsheet here:

Thank You mdlevine (just reposting the link, since there is a new page now on this thread).

BTW, should people sign-up for now on on directly on the spreadsheet, or should they continue posting on this thread (or both)?

the readers of YW are unbelievable!
round 1 - all 63 volumes committed to
round 2 - 42 volumes or 2/3's of the total have been committed to
rounds 3 and 4 - an additional committment for 14 mesechtas

    This is fantastic.

thank you for the 6th name.

how should we go about marking down when we finish a masechet-should we just write it next to the name, or maybe another column where people can check off what they've finished??

Good question. Identify it as being completed in the cell with your name - YW Moderator-72
