What happens when you try to?
Posted 2 years ago # -
Which version do you have?
Could be a problem with your CD/DVD settings. Try saving it straight onto your computer.Posted 2 years ago # -
i am trying to save it straight to my computer---and it gives me an error message saying a mill diff reasons why its not workiing
Posted 2 years ago # -
did u install any new programs on your computer recently?
Posted 2 years ago # -
boro park girl---prob? why does it matter ? should i delete them?
Posted 2 years ago # -
fan of pd:
Could you, perhaps, give us a few of those millions of reasons? Without some kind of information about what is going wrong there isn't a chance of getting good help.

One of the programs might affect the way your computer saves files- the format of the file might not be able to be published.

Hi. Me too. I'm not ignoring you.
Oh. Yea. It looks like you'll have a 'mill diff' issues to fix! Without sharing specifics, there's little anyone can do for you except for a bit of sympathy.

do a windows update and make sure all updates were done. restart computer. clear all cookies from internet options. maybe try something like ccleaner (free download) to help clear out all the temp files.
hatzlacha.

Just a point to add - make sure the original file is in the same place as when you originally put it and not moved over.. that could break the link. Hope it gets through - keep us posted!

zaidy
nothing personal but ive learned,
when someone says update everything (usually drivers) and delete all cookies
the odds are that he has no idea what the problem isPosted 2 years ago # -
try saving it to a usb memory card. you can even borrow one from your digital camera if you don't have a spare one.
Posted 2 years ago # -
thank you all i am still trying to get it to work
Posted 2 years ago # -
Maybe you have a virus that wrecks havoc with movie maker.
Posted 2 years ago # -
i tried ccleaner and you have to pay for it -if you want it to fix it and i have norton and that says i dont have a problem?????????
Posted 2 years ago # -
well it got up to 8% before it crashed--so thats an improvement i guess
Posted 2 years ago # -
i tried ccleaner and you have to pay for it
No, it's freeware.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Ccleaner is free. The donation is optional. Scroll down past the donation and click the link to download from piriform or filehippo
Mod 80 - you might be right that they don't know what the problem is. But those are generally good advice for getting things to work.
When you say "there is enough memory" are you referring to RAM or Hard Drive space. Some people confuse those two. If it is crashing in the middle it might be a RAM problem. Have you tried restarting the computer and closing all programs besides the movie maker?
Posted 2 years ago # -
There might be something wrong with some of the clips. Does it play well in Movie Maker? It might help to copy the clips and delete the originals
Posted 2 years ago # -
its making me pay for ccleaner and how do i know how much RAM i have?
Posted 2 years ago # -
ok thank you ---i got ccleaner for free ---now lets ddaven that it works
Posted 2 years ago # -
ok heres the problem now, this sometimes happens...it goes till 5% then the "minutes remaining" just go up and up and it stays on 5%
Posted 2 years ago # -
Check the task manager to see how much memory is being used. Type ctrl-alt-del and choose task manager.
Posted 2 years ago # -
thanks
Posted 2 years ago # -
Mod 42-what am i looking at in task manager?
Posted 2 years ago # -
I don't know much about movie maker but this sounds like it probably is not a memory issue. But if you want to check task manager to see how much memory is being used by the program and other running programs. You can watch the memory go up as it is saving the video

MOD-42--where it says physical memory? under applications? on the bottom of the screen?
Posted 2 years ago # -

Posted 2 years ago # -
