Today is the yartzheit of the heliger satmar rebbe zy’a. Can anyone explain why the satmar rebbe (r’ zalman leib of williamsburg) felt the need to break every vehicle and traffic law in NYS, endanger the lives of pedestrians and drivers alike, and cause a crazy amount of noise at 1:30am, when everyone is sleeping? Where is the emergency? To daven at a kever of a tzadik?

I don’t know if those were police cars or other types of vehicles that have permission to have sirens. If it is the latter, it is probably a misuse of the sirens.

August 18, 2017 7:27 pm at 7:27 pm #1342696zahavasdadParticipantThere is a difference between a stam traffic jam and blasting Sirens.
Also concerts usually only occur in certain areas. They would occur near concert venues , not in a residential area
