Incorrigible; semi-retarded; eccentric; perhaps a woman; not Mod 80. Sometimes a bit over the top.

Salt lake city is the closest. Take I-94 south to I-80. Go west on I-80 until you hit I-15. Take I-15 north for about half an hour and arrive in Park City, UT. There will be signs to the three area resorts.
Alternatively, you can take 80 to 215 and follow signs for the cottonwood canyon resorts.

No, I did not use any mapping software to write this.

Popa despite what you and most new yorkers think the rest of America aka (not ny/nj) is a rather large area and Chicago and Salt Lake City are actually very far apart

The straight line distance between Salt Lake City and Chicago is approximately 1257 miles

Besides, you would probably take Lake Shore Drive (From WRP) to 55 (or 290/88) to 80.

A quick search (I don't Ski) brings up Wilmot.

that is right. It is all out of town.
My main point was there is no skiing in the great plains.

Yes, the skiing in NY is not as bad. I'm recommending Windham for a day trip, and southern vermont for an overnight.

About once a season, the catskill resorts will get a snow dump. Last year right before purim they had 5 feet in three days. The third day was taanis esther, and I was in Hunter snowboarding deep powder all day.

They had an air bag last year.
You jump off this monster jump and land on a big balloon. It was great!
