Stolin is on 16th between 46 & 47. Lots of people come, so if you really want to see, you gotta come very early. I believe its being on Monday night this year.

Here are some places in Lakewood:

Stoliner Bais Medrash always has a very nice bonfire. East 8th between Princeton & the tracks.

The Breslover Bais Medrash next door to Satmar - Forest & 4th - has a bonfire.

The Minyan Shelonu is making this year's bonfire by the Oak Street Public School.

Mod72 - I was at the place and I offered everyone fitting your description a cup of coffee with skim milk and sugar. All accepted and drank. This leads me to believe that you slipped in a red herring somewhere.

If I am right, please leave a piece for me at Vizhnitz. I like matjas herring.

  35. All:
This is the official Mod72 Monsey Lag B'omer report

The plan: I conned Mod72 into thinking I'm the guy at the mike. I kept a steady lookout for anyone trying to approach the singer. I do not loosen my vigilance for even a second.

What action: I suddenly spot a very timid fellow sneaking up to the guy at the mike. The singer is oblivious to anything but belching out "bar yochoy'i". I stealthily approach the timid fellow from behind and grab his hands to the back. I ominously whisper in his ear "Give me the password". He responds "NO sugar and a splash of 2% C"Y milk ". We both breathe a sigh of relief, I let go & exclaim "Mod72! Areivim here! Good to meet you!". The crowd goes silent, gawking... the rest made history ;)

areivim - maybe you just didn't know what to look for to find me. Did you see anyone there with a blue pinstriped suit, polka dot bow tie, alligator shoes and a top hat?

    Well, that was not me.

    Posted 4 years ago #
  37. so then you must have been that odd ball's partner- the one with, er, how do I put this nicely... well, he was very shiny! very shiny... somewhere at the top of the head area... he was not wearing a hat, his yarmulka was desperately trying to cover that very shiny spot... ;) and, he curled his mustache. That really gave you away squeak- you shouldn't have

squeak squeak squeak (i think we need some 4D-40), no sugar and 2% CY milk. you offered I refused.

areivimzehlazeh - it was a kodak moment, but... that was my decoy, i was rotflmko (rolling on the floor laughing my kishkas out) timid, HA! also regarding the pics, the keyboardist is the singer also.

oh and a big shout out to the Monsey Fire Department for doing a great job as usual.

    Posted 4 years ago #
  43. you mean you set up the Key Master himself to take your place? The meeting's chashivus just tripled! But I don't know what that says about the future of your job... laughing behind the editor's back...
