What’s the best way to break the ice and propose towards the end of the first date?

Make sure to get to know each other well before the first date so that the proposal makes sense and isn’t awkward.

    Joseph,

If you’re trolling, you really need to find a better use of your time. If not, you need some serious help and shouldn’t be meeting women. But I’m not saying anything that hasn’t been said before.

    Why wait to the end?
Pick her up in a van and tell her you hope to fill it with kinderlach

If you have true emunah, have the wedding fully arranged in advance, and arrive there at the conclusion of the date. Everything will be so obvious that there will be no need to propose.

Years ago a bochur was learning in Yeshiva in Yerushalayim. He came to a “bashow” with a a girl from a Yerushalmi family. After a short time of meeting the girl and parents, all of a sudden many relatives began arriving and wishing them Mazel Tov on their engagement! The father had apparently arranged a fait accompli! The bochur was American and on his own and was too embarrassed to protest or escape. They’re still married and have a large family.
I know him personally and he is still embarrassed until this day. I only heard about it from an older person who helped me with my shidduch.

Assuming the usual Joey trolling its sort of a fill in the punchline…..

    1. Share your secret family recipe for Possum Chulent
    2. Provide her with a daft pre-nuptial agreement whereby you commit to giving her a Get when she turns 16 if she decides to change her mind
    3. Show her the photos of your 2 ex-wives and how happy they are today (albeit having gotten rid of you)….

Uncle Ben: Umm, I didn’t want you to share my story publicly.

Ashk; I don’t know Joseph so I can’t vouch for him. I highly doubt he’s the star of my story.

Why would the boy even engage in the Bittul Torah of dating? Get the boy’s mother to date the girl and propose on his behalf at the end of THEIR first date.
