can i ask a real question? in all seriousness.
why is it that during the day i feel like there's a point in being on here, while at night it's generally stupid empty nothing? i said generally. during the day there are somewhat meaningful or intelligent conversations going on. yes, there's some kidding around, but at least there's a basis to the conversations. i notice that at night it's just stupid empty chitter-chatter. am i right?
i know i'm a lot of the off-topic stuff, but it annoys me. look at the threads - they barely overlap from the morning till the night.

maybe, bec the people during the day are at work, and they come on to make a point and and argue it and leave! but at night people who are on are just wasting time online so they post whatever they want-just a thought

no not like that. like endless amounts of pointless banter. during the day there's a little bit here and there and it's fun. but not SO much.

maybe! but it's weird because i'm not like that at all. my friends don't have "serious" or "meaningful" conversations too often. but we don't have empty air-headed talk either. i used the word banter before and i think it's the perfect word. you get me? we tease, we talk, we laugh, but there's always a punchline.

asdf and qwerty - i mean this in the nicest way possible,hhmm how do i say this?? u 2 aren't on during the day and when people talk about themselves in 3rd person-the way u 2 do- it doesn't really give over the fact that u want to have an intelligent conversation...so i kinda hear what moish is saying (im not saying that im brilliant-im not)

for you i'll even darshen a bit: it's a bad combination when you have a kid with brains and a rebbe who is lacking in that area. now if the kid is smart and the rebbe is also, it's ok. if they're both dumb, it's fine. goes without saying that if the kid is dumb and the rebbe is smart, the kid will be valedictorian and is the biggest masmid on earth.

i have to agree with moish that a lot of the rabbis teaching these days have absolutly no idea what they r talking about....another intresting point is that a lot of the ppl io no who went off happen to b smarter than most ppl...kind of proving moishes point that when the kid is smarter it makes him more likely to argue and not agree with the rabbis.
