kapusta,
alaska!!! i would looooove to go there! whats a few thousand bucks bet. CR friends anyway?Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta, you have to understand that it really depends on what kind of person your friend is. Every person would appreciate something else. Some people would love a piece of jewelry and others might not like your taste. Get what I mean?
It also depends on how much you're willing to spend.
Would a universal gift card make any sense? That is a nice gift since you're not limiting your friend to one store.Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta: my favorite type of present is something specific to that person, something you know they like or want, or something you've joked about with them before. it doesn't have to be a lot of money, just knowing someone put in the effort to give something personal that you will appreciate feels really good.

the.nurse, I'm deciding if I like you enough. oh and check your mail ;)
mepal, interesting, never thought about that. hmmm.
AOB, yea, thats what I was thinking of, but everywhere I checked didnt help me too much. I was thinking about something that specifically a nurse would appreciate.

kapusta: it sounded like that, but a nurse? that sounds kinda general. wouldn't it still depend on the person?
Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta: ok, got it. sorry, can't help you there ;)
Posted 6 years ago # -
they do make teddy bear nurses...u can order it with their name on the uniform and everything...but it all depends on what type your nurse-friend is. some girls dont like bears and some do.

q. i pay attention to a lot of the talk but what really does kapusta mean? i must miss it. even when i dont type, i can read it sometimes.
q. what time do the mods go to bed? i mean, it can take forever for things to get posted and sometimes mine isnt posted at all. like, what type of "non YWN/CR material" could i possibly say? so that cant be the reason....

havesomeseichel: a) kapusta means cabbage
b) mods are here 24hrs around the clock! ooops i forgot mods actually have lives, families, jobs ect..besides the CR!
C)try to say on topic of the thread you are in, or shift to the General Shmooze thrread is the rule around here!Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta,
i dont think she would want a clipboard. nurses dont use them nowadays. sorry :(
maybe you should just take her out for supper or s/t.. bake her some cookies.. send her flowers.. i dunnoPosted 6 years ago # -
Jax- thanks! I appreciate it!
i was just wondering if they stopped after 12am EST (I assume thats where they are all from, but it would be smart to have a west coaster as a mod to keep it going round the clock)Posted 6 years ago # -
This is because we’re never supposed to lean toward any extreme. The only time to do this is in order to get to the desired "middle road", so we go to the opposite extreme in order to get there. However, it seems in this case we just got stuck on the opposite side and were never able to balance it out
this is from the shidduch/commitment thread, but i have an unrelated question about this so i brought it here. i've heard of this concept before but never fully understood, & this just reminded me. why would we want to go to "the opposite extreme" of a midah if our goal is really the middle?

havesomeseichel: we do have mods actually on both coasts!

the.nurse
Memberkapusta,
i dont think she would want a clipboard. nurses dont use them nowadays. sorry :(
maybe you should just take her out for supper or s/t.. bake her some cookies.. send her flowers.. i dunnothe.nurse, hey, I appreciate all you your help here. One more question if I may...
Do you think most nurses would be too "health oriented" to even consider going out? Like I know she likes chicken nuggets and cajun fries (old joke type of thing) but I want to make sure she likes it before taking her out and ending up with a whole big to-do. Whats your take on this as a nurse?
Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta: everyone likes a good meal! i doubt her being a nurse would make her not like restaurant food! i'm just saying my two cents here! ;)
Posted 6 years ago # -
so to those who may be wondering... i am the THE nurse who likes chicken nuggets and spicy fries.. i have been figured out. actually i kind've suspected that kapusta was my friend but here we just clinched it. and yes, kapusta, i will def. take a nice meal like that!! (hint hint)
(to the mods.. pls put the post up. kapusta and i figured out that we know e/other [we've already texted e/other and confirmed it] and we are not posting any names or any form of ID. we just wanted the other ppl who post here to know that we know e/other cuz otherwise i feel like its not honest. thanks)
Posted 6 years ago # -
hey nurse!!! I'm willing to take a hint if you are too. jk, jk
to everyone else, you probably figured it out, because I'm not really so nasty to any random person in the CR. (you shouldve seen ALL my posts, <insert evil laugh>)
EDIT: Jax, good, me and <someone who me and the.nurse know> are taking up a collection to sponsor the chicken nuggets, send all available cash. :)
Posted 6 years ago # -
kapusta
i dont think you were so nasty on the CR. people should get to know you in real life.. hehe JUST KIDDING!! (i do still want those chicken nuggets so i gotta be nice to you LOL)Posted 6 years ago # -

On the topic of my evil nastiness (ask the nurse for more info) someone just sent me a text that she wants to prove her teacher wrong who thinks she cant do well on the regent. she is sooooo asking for it, who would like to get the brunt of my nastiness instead of her? ;)
