    Today is 19th Johrzeit of the Giant Godol:- Rav Shelomo Zalman Auerbach ZTKLLH’H, whom I was Zoche to see probably more than 100 times, as I would see him daily at Gro Shul on Shaarei Chessed during the time I was residing in Shaarei Chessed.

    His countenance was inspiring, and he was born in Israel & never left Israel during his entire life.

    Was he niftar in an ubar year as well, otherwise his yahrzeit is next month.

    dafyomi, Ashkenazim do yartzeit 1st month, sephardim do 2nd month

    Dafyomi:- Considering that this year is the 19th Johrzeit, and considering that our calendar works on a 19 year cycle, and considering that this year is a leap year, hence that it should be discernible to all, that the Rov was Niftar on 20th Adar Rischon in 5755.

    Last year I was by his Kever less than 2 weeks before his Johrzeit.
