Hi.I’m trying to find out where in Brooklyn (or the five boroughs, or even the internet for that matter) Where i can get a rav umoreh horaah smicha. I’m really strapped for time so i can’t really devote myself to a yoreh yoreh program, but i really don’t want any more time to slip away from me and i feel like the longer it’s taking me to get smicha, the shorter i want the program to last.I’m not particularly interested in paskening or leading a shul, i want the smicha because i do a lot of work in kiruv as well as being the frum voice in “interdenominational” Jewish organization settings. But even more than that,my wife is a bt who grew up reform and when we first started dating she said the only way she’d cover her hair was if i became a rabbi,so i agreed. She’s since grown significantly on her own to the point where that condition isn’t even necessary, but i feel like i still owe her a show of good faith and gratitude and encouragement to grow further. Any leads on where i can get rav umoreh in or near Brooklyn? Or even a private masmich who’ll give smicha?

If you know the topics (melicha, basar bchalav ,taruvos, scheitah and treifos, last two are not always on every program) then there are Rabbaniom who will test you. However, if you don’t know the topics yet then it takes time to learn ,but all depends o, the person. Rav Nechemia Goldberg gives simcha(different tests for different levels).
