Does heat and humidity trigger inflammation, redness, and/or unwanted pigmentation in people who have rosacea, and/or acne prone skin?

Recently, I read an article about how high heat and humidity can trigger rosacea and acne breakouts… and cause those dark melanin spots on the skin that people get from UV exposure.

What would you do if you have one or both of these conditions and yet regularly immerse yourself in fitness routines (that you LOVE) that are in highly heated and humid rooms, and there is no unheated version that works for you?

    Thank you

I’d be worried about Melanin spots, because the next step is Cancer!

Wow Health, thank you…. I didn’t even consider skin cancer.

Not all melanin spots become malignant.

But maybe more melanin spots, and a body that’s reacting to the high heat and humidity as it would to UV rays would increase the risk of skin cancer, just as it would if it was more exposed to UV rays.

    Interesting.
