AS per prior post, 600 kilos = 1320 pounds at the standard exchange rate, which is rather heavy even for an ursine (of the non polar variety).

However, the Obama administration has cut the pound to 12 ounces in order to lower prices of goods per pound and to deal with the supposed American obesity crisis at the same time.

Therefore, unless the EU and the rest of the world accepts the new exchange rate and also reduces the number of grams in a kilo by 25%, 600 kilos = 1650 new 12 ounce pounds.

"noitallmr - How can you claim to know it all when you misspell "know"?"

I even know the answer to that question!!! Here goes...how do you know that I spelled "know"??? Maybe I'm a bit strange and spelled no-itallmr the "no" being my initials or something??? The obvious answer is that because I wrote itall afterwords it shows that the "no" means "know"...and therefore wanted everyone to do that bit of brain exercise every time they read my username...Simple no? (as in "no" not "know"...)

mepal: He tried reducing mine...but no no no he wasn't successful nowhere near!!!

That sounds like a major ursa!
You must be a star, whether or not you're of the polar(is) variety.

Re Josephs: Click on "member"- the "Joseph" who used to be a very active member on the main forum and CR had many entries under "Topics started". The "new one" (who actually has an earlier start date than the one we are most familiar with), has no entries under "Topics started".

It appears that the "old Joseph" has taken a Sabbatical from posting, and the "new Joseph" has come as a replacement. There was a bit of spoof in the beginning, when the new Joseph posted content 180 degrees from "old", and caused some raised eyebrows, but "new" has now settled into his role quite comfortably, and no longer needs to have fun this way.

I won't say who I think "new" and "old" are, but I enjoyed the fun while it lasted...

    ames-

Thank you, but you're giving me too much credit.
I registered in order to respond to one particularly hurtful thread, and since my first attempted SN - "I Try" - was taken, this was plan "B".
It's occurred to me since then that my SN is a bit awkward and incongruous for the many threads I've posted on.
I've considered changing it to "Incognito" (which someone else recently took), or possibly one of the three single letters not yet taken.
    We'll see.

If it makes you think of a 1200 pound bully, you have nothing to fear! Even if you learned math in the NYC public schools or were asleep during general studies classes in yeshiva, 600 kilos is 1320 pounds.

    Sorry, no name change ***EDITED***

kinda reminds me of this story-

A young woman was being wheeled in to the ER. The nurse is filling out a chart for her and asks for her name, address, age, etc. When she ask for weight, the patient responded "110 pounds". The nurse looks at her, observes that she was a "healthy sized" young lady and chided her, "This isn't the internet, honey."

    Well, I guess this is!

    Posted 6 years ago #
  29. BS"D

You mean you think I actually weigh *more* than 1320 funt? :)!

600 pounder, I think squeak meant me. Regarding that, squeak, I've been trying to give blood for a while. First I had to wait till I was 18. Now I gotta wait till I weigh enough. At one point I did, and I gave then. But not anymore. Whatever.

Grizzly bear, you remind me of an email I got called 'I wish I was a bear'. Basically, since you get to sleep for a while, beforehand, you eat as much as you can hold...though I would be happy remaining humane. ;)
